Disperse Transfer Painting Supplies

DISPERSE TRANSFER SUPPLIES
·         Disperse powder dyes – I have lots for us to use.
·         There are also Transfer Paints and Transfer Inks but I have never used these. Just FYI!
·         Fabric - This product only best on polyester, or blended fibers with a synthetic content of 60% or higher.
·         Doesn’t work that well with 100% cotton.
·         Sheer voiles; synthetic velvet and  lacy fabrics are some other suggestions
·         Even nonwoven interfacing works!  Good for layering!
·         Fabric should be washed, dried and ironed
·         Use white or very pale fabric
·         Iron
·         Photocopy or printer paper
·         Paint brushes (not foam) 2-4” is good
·         Print surface:  this needs to be a hard surface (old wooden cutting board, for example).
·         Parchment paper, newspaper or brown craft paper to cover your print surface
·         Drop cloth (poly) for color that may pass through your fabric
Optional
·         Images you might want to trace on paper to paint
·         Scissors
·         Plastic wrap, crumpled plastic bag, bubble wrap
·         Coarse sea salt
·         Sea sponges
